Dr. Small is a graduate of Harvard Medical School and Cambridge University in England. She completed her advanced aesthetic training at the Chernoff Plastic Surgery and Laser Center, a renowned laser testing center and a US national Botox training center.

Dr. Small is a board certified physician specializing in cosmetic enhancement and wellness medicine. She is an Assistant Clinical Professor at UCSF School of Medicine and is the Director of Medical Aesthetic Training at Natividad Medical Center, affiliated with the University of California San Francisco, where she teaches physicians in Botox, dermal fillers and laser procedures. Dr. Small also lectures and trains physicians nationally with the American Academy of Family Physicians. In addition, Dr. Small is the author of the aesthetic chapters in the new edition of the Essential Guide to Primary Care Procedures, the upcoming Dermatologic and Cosmetic Procedures in Office Practice and the series of A Practical Guide to Aesthetic Procedures in Primary Care.

Dr. Small has a private practice in Northern California where she personally supervises all treatments and trains physicians from all over the US.
